Bada is a mobile operating system by Samsung. It powers all devices in their "Wave" smartphone line. While it is pretty much unknown in the USA, the relatively low cost of those devices made them somewhat popular in Europe, Southern Asia, Latin America, and Russia. However, Samsung neglected to keep it up to date, so it felt more and more antiquated as time went by, until it was finally discontinued it in favor of Tizen (although most of Samsung's devices are still Android-based).
