Drakan: Order of the Flame

A Win98 game released in 1999, with awesome action, RPG elements and a FUCKING DRAGON FLIGHT SIM.

Protagonist is a Lara Croft-inspired girl that can kick some monster's ass with variety of swords, axes, warhammers and magical crystals, as well as some powerful (almost always optional/hidden) artifacts. Good swordfighting system, not as complex as Severance, but you still can slice off monsters limbs and other parts with several comboes that are not listed anywhere, then watch them bleed allover the place (mobs litterally cover area in blood, its very graphic). A diablo-like inventory system, lots of secret hard-to-reach places with shinies and artifacts.

The most awesome part is that half of the game you spend on a Real Huge Ass Dragon, raining death from above on helpless monsters. You still can unmount him and walk on your own around gigantic levels, but why would you do that? Also he can do a barrel roll. The best Dragon-simulator ever.

If you like Severance, you might give this one a try too, considering that there was a patch lately that introduces some next-gen features to the engine. Sinael (talk) 14:07, December 1, 2013 (UTC)
