Box Art Title Genre Description
BatenKaitosCover-1- Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean RPG A game featuring a boy named Kalas who embarks on an amazing adventure. Strongly recommended. Voice acting sounds like it was recorded using tin cans but it's at least acceptable. This one's a two-disk game, so you know it's going to be fairly lengthy.
Boxart us baten-kaitos-origins-1- Baten Kaitos Origins RPG The prequel. Not as good.

Never came out in Europe.

76 2400 0 FinalFantasyCrystalChronicles-1- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles RPG Ditches the turn-based battle system for dungeon crawling, ARPG-style combat. Beautiful graphics and music. Best played with others; the chalice will start many amusing arguments, as will 'who gets the magicite'. Requires GBAs and the link cables for multiplayer.
Cover large-1- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance SRPG This is one of the greatest games available on the GameCube. It is an epic ballad of the struggle between humans and furries as they fight to live on the same continent as each other, just like on /v/. Note that if someone dies they're gone for good. Some consider this makes the game hard, but it doesn't since you can see how much damage you will deal and how much you will take with every move you make, in addition to the movement range of all your opponents, so only casuals find it difficult.
652966-ttydus large-1- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door RPG Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is a solid RPG that improves upon its predecessors in many ways. You can now pull off stylish moves, your partners have health bars, and an audience system is in place that judges your performance. The gameplay is still very fun, especially for an RPG.
193-1-1- Phantasy Star Online RPG Same as the Dreamcast version but with a few additions like multiplayer, faster loading and such.

Allows for 3rd party servers so the online comuinity is still alive(ish)

No longer have to pay a signup fee.

914973 front-1- Pokémon Colosseum RPG If you enjoy Pokémon, this is a fun game with or without the GBA counterparts. The main game consists of an RPG where you initially start out with Umbreon and Espeon. As the game progresses, you are able to steal specific Pokémon from other trainers. Only worth it if you're a hardcore fan, as you can only even get certain Pokémon in the game, which restricts some of the freedom of the traditional Pokémon games.
Skies of Arcadia Legends box-1- Skies of Arcadia Legends RPG

The definitive version of Skies of Arcadia, this port of the Dreamcast classic includes bonus missions, items, and a new reoccurring antagonist. Turn based battles, intriguing airship battles, epic story line, memorable characters, this is one swashbuckling RPG that you won't want to miss. Music is a bit messed up but still good.

Tales of Symphonia case cover-1- Tales of Symphonia RPG One of the best in the "Tales of..." series. Awesome fighting system, long (and decent) storyline, good characters, plenty to do, and overall fun. Sequel is on Wii.
BattalionWarsBoxart-1- Battalion Wars Action Essentially Advance Wars in 3D. Only instead of controlling your units and they move on to do your bidding, you actually control your units under your command. Very fun and addictive. Sequel is on wii.
26-1-1- Beyond Good and Evil Action

Cult classic stealth-action game from the creators of Rayman. Very fun, and with a decent plot to boot, but surprisingly short.

Early builds had a game breaking glitch but was fixed in later releases.

Chibi Robo2 Chibi-Robo! Adventure Be really cute and explore the house, cleaning up litter and stains and killing robot spiders. 2 sequels on DS.
Cubivorebox Cubivore Action

While somewhat repetitive, Cubivore is certainly an interesting game. The goal here is to eat smaller creatures while avoiding predators. It may look a little odd, but it's actually a pretty fun game.

Never came out in Europe :(

Crbox Custom Robo Robots and shit Rpg-esque main quest is meh, worth checking out though. The battles are fun and the customization is really expansive.
Eternal darkness box Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem Survival Horror This game is just one giant mindf*ck. As you progress through the game and lose sanity, all hell breaks loose. If you're not hearing voices, seeing things that aren't there, you're being prompted to reset your Gamecube in an attempt to inflict real life panic. If you're a fan of survival horrors, innovation and brown underwear, pick up Eternal Darkness.
557003 front-1- Gauntlet: Dark Legacy Hack and Slash 'RPG' Classic Gauntlet hack and slash, with great gameplay elements and 4-player fun. Lots of unlockables, cheatcodes, and levels make for a lengthy game. A sequel to Gauntlet Legends, it is also available on the PS2 and the Xbox.
Geist box Geist FPS

Solid FPS with a twist. You play as a ghost with the ability to possess people, and must find out the mysterious truth about why you were murdered and find your body.

More Filters than a coffee machine

Gotcha Force Coverart Gotcha Force Action In Gotcha Force, you control "borgs" in battles against either the computer (story mode) or your friends. There are hundreds of borgs to play, and each of them have their own fun playstyles. Select your characters from dragons, battle girls, HP sucking "vampire knights," tanks, planes, and more! The multiplayer in this game is particularly fun.
256px-Killer7boxnew Killer7 FPS

Part post-modern experiment, part sociopolitical commentary, all batshit insane. Play as one of seven split personalities, all known collectively as the super assassin group, the Killer7. Just expect to be confused. Satisfied, but very confused.

Also on ps2 with ruined voice acting!

Mmacbox Megaman Anniversary Collection Compilation Megamans 1-8 on one disc, plus bonus content.
Mega-man-x-collection-gamecube Megaman X Collection Compilation Megamans X1-X6 on one disc. Why they didn't include this with the above is beyound me.
Ttsbox Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes Action/Stealth Developed by Silicon Knights, The Twin Snakes is an enhanced retelling of Trolljima's hit PS1 title, Metal Gear Solid. Save for a few new surprises and even more over-the-top cutscenes, the game remains fairly faithful to its precursor. Introduces gameplay elements first seen in MGS2, such as first-person aiming and the ability to hide bodies.
MetroidPrimebox Metroid Prime Action/FPS The first Metroid game by a western developer, translating the traditional Metroid mechanic into first-person and 3D. Shooting and platforming, like you would expect, and the beginning of a popular trilogy. Available on Wii as part of the Metroid Prime Trilogy.
Echoesboxart (Large) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Action/FPS A continuation of the story that began with the first Prime. The hook here is the fact that within the game's main setting there are two realities: one light, one dark. Both combat and puzzle solving practically depend on this dark/light mechanic. A fun title, but seen as less faithful to the Metroid series than the first Prime. Available on Wii as part of the Metroid Prime Trilogy.
562549 front P.N.03 Run n gun A sexy agent shoots stuff with the power of hip-shaking. Stupidly hard but a bit bland but awesome!
F4fddddf19b803c7c7b5d218f1ca2474-Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Platform A fun platformer made even better by the ability to reverse time. Also noted for its well-done plot and realistic character development.
D2a74e5444580f0497bdb2bbdb93ed73-Prince of Persia The Two Thrones Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Platform 3rd game is better than the 2nd. Also on Wii for some reason.
919988 front Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Platform Improves on the combat from the first game at the expense of an idiotic decision to make the Prince darker and edgier. Fuck you, market research.
Residentevil Resident Evil Survival Horror A remake of the PSX classic, and a welcome addition to the Resident Evil franchise. Haunting music, new puzzles, amazing visuals, and the addition of Crimson Heads and Lisa Trevor, this game will make your skin crawl and keep you on your toes. If you missed this version, nab the re-release on the Wii, Resident Evil Archives, which sports enhanced controls and higher resolution support. Sadly the FMV was not updated so that looks pish.
Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil 4 Action/Survival Horror The epic retooling! Resident Evil 4 popularized the over-the-shoulder view that many action games utilize today. And there's a good reason -- the angle works incredibly well with the series' infamous "tank-like" controls. Although it feels more like an action movie than a horror flick now, RE4 was still one of the best games of its generation.  Also ported to ps2 with terrible results HAHA DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCKS; the PS2 version has inferior graphics but worthwhile extras to compensate. Wii version is easier due to Wiimote and with all the extras of the PS2 version so it is the best one.
Rezerobox Resident Evil Zero Survival Horror Takes place before the first game, play as Rebecca Chambers and escaped convict Billy Coen as they discovers what's going on this damned mansion. Has a 'partner swapping' system where you can switch the characters on the fly. Also on Wii (though with errors).
Sonic adventure 2 Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Platformer Sonic Adventure 2 is more or less similar to its Dreamcast counterpart. There are a few options added to the Chao Garden. You can, for instance, transfer the collectible pets to the Gameboy Advance. The biggest improvement is a pretty fun versus mode. No more Big the Cat :(
Sonic adventure dx box Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut Platformer DX adds a few missions to the original Sonic Adventure game. The game is still pretty fun, although the Chao Garden is a bit worse than Sonic Adventure 2. To make up for that, the stages are a bit better as a whole. There aren't as many boring jewel hunts. Unlockable Gamegear games aswell :D!
Sonic Gems Collection Coverart Sonic Gems Collection Compilation

Sonic CD, Sonic the Fighters, and Sonic R plus other Sega games make their appearance on this Disc, aswell as some gamegear games.

Sonic CD audio is dependant of your location.

Versions outside Japan had games removed.

Sonic mega collection GC Sonic Mega Collection Compilation

Most of Sonic's 16-bit outings on one disc plus bonus features.

Versions outside Japan had games removed.

Spiderman2 Spider-Man 2 Action/ Sandbox

One of the better movie games ever made. Notable for having a huge sandbox version of NYC for you to swing around in.

Short main game but billions of sidequests.

File:Star-fox-assault.jpg Star Fox: Assault Action/Shooter

Arwing parts good, everything else bad.

Great soundtrack, bad voice acting. (Not like the VO is any better on the 64 though)

Super mario sunshine Super Mario Sunshine Platformer Another system, another Mario game. Normally the game controls much like Super Mario 64 before it, but as an added mechanic mario is given the F.L.U.D.D., a water spraying device that may change the way you think about your platforming habits. Severely underrated.
UltimateSpiderMan GCN Ultimate Spider-Man Action/ Sandbox Follows the comic book series of the same name. Play as both Spidey and Venom, switching aesthetics and playing style. Noted for its comic book aesthetic, but overall a small step down from Spider-Man 2.
Viewtiful-joe-boxart Viewtiful Joe Beat 'em up There's trouble in Movie-land! Joe's girlfriend, Silvia, has been kidnapped by dark forces, and the only way he can save her is by transforming into a tribute to his child superhero, Captain Blue -- Viewtiful Joe! Slow down and speed up time, zoom in, and dazzle the crowd with fancy brawling moves in a love letter to action games of days past.
Viewtiful joe 2 Viewtiful Joe 2 Beat 'em up Essentially an extension of the first game. But this time, another player can join in! Save Movie-land as either Joe or Silvia in another action-packed brawler.
Four Swords Adventures The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures Action/Adventure A Zelda title that harkens back to ye olde days of A Link to the Past with many similar sprites and very similar basic gameplay although there are graphical updates to cetain sprites, like Link (who appears has he does in Wind Waker), as well as some use of 3D in clever contrast to the mostly 2D; the sound is also Gamecube quality. However, the core game puts in control of four Links, who you can all use at the same time (follow the leader style) or use one at a time (this creates some clever puzzles invovling using one Link to toss another across a chasm. This also sets up the game for multiplayer (a first for Zelda; using the GBA-GC link cable) where up to four players can each control a different Link (and compete for scores). Regrettably, the item system is limited and the exploration is broken down into levels with an overworld screen (akin to SMB 3) unlike the grand, open worlds to explore that we've come to know and love from Zelda. This is an acceptable loss in this case, as all the extra features and classic Zelda gameplay make this one not to miss out on.
ZeldaWindWakerGCNCoverArtUS The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Action/Adventure

As a small, familiar-looking boy in an unfamiliar world, you must don a green cap and tunic in order to save your sister, who's been kidnapped by a giant bird! Who could be behind this? Incidentally the game's cel-shaded. Oh, and your boat talks to you. I'M ON A BOAT MOTHERFUCKER DON'T YOU ERR FORGET

THE-LEGEND-OF-ZELDA-T-R73318 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Action/Adventure Link can turn into a wolf, the 'dual world' mechanic is back, and now your companion isn't that irritating. Same good Zelda gameplay, puzzling through temples, fighting bosses, using tools, and so on. Also on Wii (but mirrored with better graphics and everything else!).
642652-zelda master quest us front large The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Action/Adventure

This disc was given out to those who pre-ordered Wind Waker, it contains two versions of Ocarina of Time, the original released on the N64 (and later on the Collectors edition) and a remastered Master Quest edition which is considered easier by most people but complete hell for the completist who must have everything, overall it's fun for those of you who want to play OoT but are tired of the same old stuff. (an N64 rom of OoT Master Quest does exist but crashes at the very end)

Note: in europe this disk was in the same case as Wind Waker and not sold seperatly (with demo movies of other games). Collectors Edition contains all main Zeldas but not Master Quest.

Luigis Mansion Luigi's Mansion Adventure A goofy, ghostbusters-esque adventure starring Mario's brother. Launch title for the GC.

Really short but really good!

Rogue squadron 2 Box Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader Shooter The sequel the popular game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron for the N64, this time you're taken through Star Wars history as you're guided from one Death Star to another.
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III - Rebel Strike Coverart Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike Adventures in space The third in the series, this game is normally frowned upon due to the missions that take place outside of the cockpit. Of course, the missions that take place in the cockpit are top notch and match expectations of any other Rogue Squadron game. This game also includes a fun versus mode and a co-op mode where you can play Rogue Leader with friends.
Cvs2zu5 Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO 2D Fighting Inferior on PS2, this is one of the best 2D fighters of its generation.
Freedom fighters Freedom Fighters Action Underrated shooter with a similar plot to the Patrick Swayze movie Red Dawn. Noted for its fantastic squad system. Made by the same team behind the Hitman series as well as Kane and Lynch.
Red faction II Red Faction II Fps Not as good as the first, but still a solid shooter. Multiplayer is awesome fun with a friend as games can last up to one hour.
Soul calibur 2 Soul Calibur II Fighting The sequel to the first game, heralded as one of the greatest fighting games ever, Soul Calibur 2 delivers awesome enhanced graphics, a polished 8-way run system, and more characters and moves to master. A new weapons system has been added, and Gamecube players get the unique opportunity to play as the one and only Link! A real, primo fighter that takes real skill to master.
Super monkey ball Super Monkey Ball Puzzle Maneuver your monkey in a ball in order to fulfill various tasks. Got a number of sequels, all of which are pretty fun, execpt Adventure which was terrible.
Smash bros melee Super Smash Bros. Melee Fighting By some, this is still considered the definitive Smash Bros. game. Super Smash Bros. Melee featured numerous improvements over its predecessor. More stages, more characters, more items, solid gameplay, and an adventure mode all combined to make Super Smash Melee a great game both competitively and casually.
Timesplitters 2 TimeSplitters 2 FPS A quirky FPS made by many of the men behind GoldenEye. Worth playing for its wealth of modes as well as its fantastic multiplayer.
Timesplitters future perfect TimeSplitters Future Perfect FPS See above, only now with Monkey Curling and a goofy plot.
Ikaruga Ikaruga Shooter Spiritual Successor to Radiant Silvergun. Made by Treasure, so you know it's good. It's also one of the only shmups in the Gamecube's library (seriously, try naming 5 GC shmups WITHOUT including Ikaruga!).Also on Dreamcast and Xbox Live arcade.
Aggressive inline Aggressive Inline Extreme Sports 14 yearolds favourate game
Fzero gx F-Zero GX Racing

Insanely hard futuristic racing game. Great graphics and music too.

Best in the series.

Mario golf TT Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Sports Golf, with mario. What else do you want!
Mario power tennis Mario Power Tennis Sports Sequel to Mario Tennis for the N64. Very fun game, even with some of the ridiculous power shots.
File:Mario kart DD.jpg Mario Kart: Double Dash Racing Despite the negative comments, this is still a great Mariokart game. Has some of the best tracks in the series too.
Need-for-speed-underground-2-gc Need For Speed Underground 2 Racing Need for speed but for blacks
Ssx tricky SSX Tricky Sports Edgy snowboarding. Severely gay.
Metal arms GITS Metal Arms: Glitch in the System Run'n'Gun Play as a small robot with a huge arsenal of weapons. Very hard, very good. On all formats, none of which are supieror
SSX3 SSX 3 Sports EA sports sure is edgy. Do "Uber" tricks and explore the mountain. Best in the series, with tons to do and tons to buy and unlock.
Tony hawk 3 GC Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 Sports One of the best extreme sports games ever made. Perfected the formula from THPS2, and threw in Darth Maul.
Tony hawk underground Tony Hawk's Underground Sports Taking a departure from traditional Hawk games, Underground places you in the shoes of an aspiring skater working to the big leagues. Easier than the previous games, but a lot of fun.
