Professor Layton and The Last Time Travel, the third game in the series, is supposed to get a US release by Fall of 2010.

Professor Layton and The Specter's Flute, the fourth of the Layton games, is out in Japan but no US release has been anounced yet.

The Last Time Travel is brilliant, especially the ridiculous plot and fantastic sountrack.
HowdoesIJim Earthworm Jim Platformer Jim is back (Again!)! This time on a portable with BUTTONS and a D-pad. A port of the iPhone remix, which also has EASY MODO (Don't be a worm, /v/.) with a weird DSi-exclusive extra where mimicing Jim's facial expressions for the camera earns you some small bonuses. DSiWare download only. Also coming to Wiiware! US: May 10
Dq9logo Dragon Quest IX RPG Combines the skill system of 8 with the class system of 3/6/7. Much like FFIX, this is a throwback to classic DQs, meaning it's harder and more challenging, to encourage players to help each other (which is cool) and because SE saw that people like to go online for help (GEE, THANKS.) Has bonus bosses from older DQs, and Nintendo is supposedly going to promote the fuck out of this. US: July 1st

The long awaited and often delayed sequel to the 1998 hit StarCraft is almost here. Currently

in beta stages, the game is expected to come out some time in the first half of 2010; although,

knowing Blizzard, the release could be delayed at any moment. StarCraft II will feature the same 3

races from StarCraft, and has two expansions planned, making for nearly 90 hours of campaign time.

PlayStation 3

Box Title Genre Description Release date
3DDotGameHeroes 3D Dot Game Heroes Action/Adventure A game that plays almost identically to old-school top-down action/adventure games, specifically pre-OoT Legend of Zelda games. The graphics are created with "3D pixels" and have a very nice look to them. Has tons of tongue-in-cheek game-related humor, and lets you create your own character pixel by pixel. May 11, 2010 (US)

943347 96206 front Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Action RPG The newest entry in the KH line and the earliest timeline wise. This follows the stories of the early Keyblade wielders, gives some insight into worlds not previously found, and even some on previous characters such as King Mickey. Noted for having much more focus on Disney and far less on DARKNESS and Org XIII. Q3 2010
971755 138527 front La Pucelle: Ragnarok Strategy RPG A port of La Pucelle for PS2 with some new extras, such as animations, maps, and a Demon Prier side-story. TBA
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Cover Art Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Action Adventure/Stealth You're still in a dream, Snake (eater). This is said to wrap up Big Boss's story (maybe). You can play a demo now to get a feel for this. It plays a more like the PS2 games, and although it's still not exact, it's a big step up from the somewhat limited feel of Portable Ops. 06/08/10
988580 158075 front Mod Nation Racers Portable Racing A portable version of the game on PSN (duh). Often said to be the Little Big Planet of racing games (Play, Create, Share). 05/25/10
Monster Hunter Freedom 3 RPG A new entry in the Freedom line, which includes new armor that sports a very samurai feel, some new weapons, and supposedly the ability to have up to 2 felynes/cats (obligatory "Dem dorfs, man") as companions. TBA
971508 155419 front Persona 3 Portable RPG A remix of Persona 3 for PS2. It's been scaled down a bit as alot of things are done more text and picture-wise, such as the map and some cutscenes. However, dungeons and battles are all 3D. Includes a new female protagonist to play as, who has her own unique social links, weapons, battle theme, and a few other events. Worth buying if you haven't played the originals, but if you have, it's a bit harder to consider. 07/06/10
PSP-Demo-Phantasy-Star-Portable-2-Demo Phantasy Star Portable 2 RPG A sequel that takes place 3 years after the last game. New weapons, new clothes/parts, new special arts, new Braver job, and newly added abilities for each job. You can roll and block now. PP is no longer attached to weapons, but a stat like HP. If you like the first, you'll love this one. JPN only for now. TBA
961553 127509 front Princess Antiphona RPG Sources and screenshots suggest that this is a sort of spiritual successot to Rhapsody/Marl Kingdom series of games. It's a musical RPG, and involves puppets. Battles curiously involve "punishing" monsters and apologizing to monsters when you need to run from battles. TBA
977827 145589 front Prinny 2: The Great Pantsu War RPG Sequel to the original Prinny platformer. If you liked that, then you're gonna love this. Said to have more demons to fight (one level seems to have alot of females), and new levels out the wazoo. TBA
Resident Evil Portable RPG TBA
The Third Birthday (Parasite Eve 3) 3rd Person Shooter TBA

Box Title Genre Description Release date
AlanwakeBOX-1- Alan Wake Action/Horror/TPS(?) You are an author with writer's block, sent to a mysterious eerie town. Your only weapon is a flash light. A "psychological action thriller". Made by Remedy (Max Payne 1 & 2), so the story should be good. PC version was cancelled, but might show up later. May 18th (NA), May 21st (EU)
Crackdown2Cover-1- Crackdown 2 Sandbox/TPS Similar to the first, but with zombies.

NA: July 6

EU: July 9

Halo Reach Sandbox/FPS

Oh /v/, must you be so tsun tsun?~

Next iteration in the franchise and this time it actually looks GOOD.

Sprintan, Halo 1 Healthan, Assassinatan Sandboxan gaems. Should be interesting, but the beta has something to prove after the travesty that was ODST.

Wii

Box Title Genre Description Release date
SuperMarioGalaxy2 Super Mario Galaxy 2 3D Platformer The sequel to the 2007 Wii Game of the Year, this game will have less story, more challenge, more power ups, Yoshi, and more levels. Nintendo reused a couple of levels from the first but they will have new missions and be overall, remixed. The promise of a tougher 3D Mario game is something to look forward to. May 23, 2010
Monster Hunter Tri Action RPG

The hardcore, Capcom-difficult monster hunting game you all know and love, now with awesome graphics, new monsters/weapons/armor/areas/features, free (outside Japan), friendcode-less online hunting, WiiSpeak and Keyboard support, and split-screen local multiplayer arena battles. Special editions come with a ps2-like classic controller. The graphics have apparently made the Legend of Zelda team feel pressured to make comparable graphics, so it is very good looking.

April 20, 2010
Arc Rise Fantasia RPG An RPG made by the guys behind the Luminous Arc and 7th Dragon games, with character design by whoever did Eureka Seven. The game's supposed to be a nice, long, traditional JRPG with a good story and characters with an interesting battle system, where the whole party shares and increases an AP gauge used for executing skills and spells. June 22, 2010
The Last Story RPG A Nintendo published, Mistwalker (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey) developed Wii-exclusive JRPG, with Final Fantasy creator Sakaguchi giving his full attention to it. The game is supposed to be entirely fantasy, with as little SciFi elements as possible, unlike many other current members of the genre, and is supposed to have a "real-time system". Whether this means battle system or weather isn't known yet. Keep your eye on this one. TBA 2010
Xenoblade RPG A Nintendo published, Monolith Soft developed Wii RPG that's supposed to be part of the Xeno series (Xenogears, Xenosaga), but only kind of, since it isn't connected storywise. Supposed to have lots of 3rd-person world exploration, an awesome battle system, and the expected fights with giant robots and monsters. Oh, and the whole game takes place on the back of a IMPOSSIBLY COLOSSAL GIANT ROBOT GOD. Previously called "Monado: Beginning of the World". June 27, 2010
Trauma Team Sim/Puzzle The newest installment in Atlus's Trauma Center series. You know the drill, cutting people up with motion control, fixing their problems, then stitching them back up. But wait, there's a reason that "Team" is in the title. You not only take the role of a surgeon this time, but you also take the role of a diagnostician, emergency medical technician, orthopedic surgeon, medical examiner, and endoscopy technician. Will be a reasonable 40 bucks when it comes out. May 18, 2010
The Grinder FPS High Voltage Software, the guys behind The Conduit, were playing a bunch of Left 4 Dead and thought to themselves "Hey, why not put a game like this on the Wii?". So they started working. The game is heavily inspired by cheesy 1970's Grindhouse horror movies, and instead of shooting hordes of zombies, you shoot bat-like vampires, werewolves, Jason rip-offs, and so on. Will feature up to 4 person online co-op. "Also" on the PS3 and 360, but the version on those consoles will be a downloadable top-down shooter. Said to come out 2011, but only because a publisher isn't found yet, so it may be out sooner. TBA
The Conduit 2 FPS Alright, the first Conduit was a good Wii FPS, but it had its issues. The online multiplayer was fun, but the single player was pretty stale and predictable, and the lack of local co-op and multiplayer hampered it. High Voltage Software wants the sequel to fix the problems of the first, with a bigger story mode, more weapons, new multiplayer modes, class-based multiplayer with suit add-ons, like robotic legs for speed, etc. Oh, and you can play all multiplayer modes with up to 4 people locally, and also do some multiplayer co-op stuff. Sounds very promising. Fall 2010
Tournament of Legends Fighting When High Voltage Software originally showed this game off, it was called Gladiator AD, and had bloody, gorey, gladiator fights and a gritty style similar to 300. Now, thanks to some "advice" from Sega, it's a brightly colored, mythology inspired SoulCalibur-esque fighting game. Gladiators, Minotaurs, and Egyptian-hawk-people are some of the characters in this motion-controlled fighter. Seems very iffy at this point, but since it's launching with the price of 30 bucks, you might want to treat the game with a "Wait and see" attitude. Supports Classic Controller and has offline multiplayer, no online. May be coming to 360 and ps3. May 18, 2010
Epic Mickey 3D Platformer A Wii-exclusive Disney game created by Warren Spector, the guy who made System Shock and Deus Ex. This isn't your normal, kid-pandering Mickey Mouse game, oh no. This is intending to bring Mickey back to his roots, in a darker adventure reminiscient of the classic animations. The game takes place in a wasteland inhabited by old, forgotten Disney creations, that Mickey must save from an evil he himself created. The gameplay is supposed to be like a mix between Super Mario Galaxy and Okami, with Mickey fighting with art-related weapons, like paintbrushes, erasers, etc. There's a little bit of inFamous in there too, since you can choose to either rebuild this world into a better place, or just erase it altogether. September 30, 2010
Flip's Twisted World 3D Platformer Majesco thought to themselves "Hmm, what would be the best Wii game to copy gameplay elements of? Ah, I got it! Super Mario Galaxy!". Although it's obvious to see where the game got many of its gameplay elements from, it doesn't mean the game doesn't look colorful, polished, and fun. Also has world twisting/flipping features and magic weapons/spells. April 13, 2010
MetroidOtherM logo

Metroid: Other M

1st & 3rd person shooter Team Ninja is on board with Nintendo for this latest Metroid, where you'll be flipping between third-person platform gaming and 1st person shooter - all with only the Wiimote, to retain that good ol' NES feel. With a dynamic camera and professional CGI cutscenes, this promises to be the most fluid, cinematic Metroid yet (whether that's good or not is a matter of personal preference). Also looks to have a heavy focus on developing Samus and her backstory. Delayed in Europe. June 27, 2010
Sin&punishment2 Sin and Punishment: Star Successor Rail Shooter

The latest from Treasure is a sequel to its run 'n' gun N64 gem. The Wii IR aiming will make it feel less like dragging a reticule around and more like firing an actual weapon, as you're propelled through typically over-the-top badass scenarios. Should be more than enough to ease the futile wait for a new Starfox. Like some others on this list, it's already out in Japan, but entirely in moonrunes - soon, you'll be able to enjoy the nonsensical clusterfuck story with full shitty voice acting.

Delayed in Europe for some reason.

June 7, 2010
NBA Jam Sports Started out as some basketball, turned into a remake of the classic NBA Jam. Fall 2010
Newzeldawii The Legend of Zelda (Working Title) Action/Adventure

Shiggy's keeping tight lipped on this one. Not much is known apart from possibly swinging some chick around as a sword. Apparently the best Zelda they've made to date, which means unless they're bullshitting, we're in for a treat. May require Wii MotionPlus.

Winter 2010
