Assassin's Creed	Action/Adventure/Stealth	A series of fantastic assassinations broken up with repetitive missions in between. Worth picking up now that its price has dropped. Worldwide. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
Assassin's Creed II	Action/Adventure/Stealth	Improved upon everything in the original. If you didn't like the first, you probably won't like this one. Also available on PC and PS3.
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts	Action\Platform\Building	Not a proper Banjo Threeie, but still a good fun and innovative game. Build your own vehicles Lego-style, there are pretty much infinite combinations with all sorts of piece, from springs to rockets. The almost complete lack of platforming may upset you if you are a hardcore fan of the original games for the N64 (both available on the Xbox Live Arcade by the way).
Batman: Arkham Asylum	Action-Adventure/Stealth	Sneak around, be Batman. Some beat-em-up portions. Also available on the PS3 and PC; however, the PS3 version contains additional content.
Battlefield: Bad Company	FPS	Lacking compared to the PC exclusives in the series, this installment offers improved graphics and destructible environments. Online multiplayer. Worldwide. Also available on the PS3.A sequel is expected to arrive for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 02nd, 2010 in North America.
Bayonetta	Action/Adventure	Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, and God Hand had a beautiful baby girl. CAAAAARRAAAAZY combat, glorious boss fights, massive replay value. If you're a fan of Devil May Cry, but DMC4 wasn't for you, give this a try. Also available on the PS3, albeit with some issues with the graphics and framerate. (It's still fucking Bayonetta, though.)
BioShock	FPS	Spiritual successor to the System Shock series. it is an action FPS set in a destroyed Objectivist utopia. Focuses on plasmids (like firing lightning from your fists) as much as guns. Great story for those who want to explore it. Fantastic atmosphere. Worldwide. Also available on the PS3 and PC; however, the PS3 version contains additional content.
Bladestorm	Hack-and-Slash/Real-Time-Tactitcs	A Dynasty Warriors-style hack-and-slash/real-time tactics game based on The Hundred Years' War between England and France in the middle ages. One of the best of the genre. The gameplay appears fairly similar to Kessen III. Also available on the PS3.
BlazBlue	Anime Fighter	BlazBlue is a great 2D fighter game for the next-gen consoles. If you enjoyed playing Guilty Gear then you will love BlazBlue because it was developed by the same team. Not for newcomers to the fighter genre. Worldwide. Also available on the PS3; the title is also expected to be ported to the PSP during March 2010 for North America. A console sequel has also been announced as well under the name BlazBlue: Continuum Shift for the PS3 and Xbox 360. No exact release date has been specified as of January 2010.
Borderlands	FPS	Diablo with guns. Lots of fun, especially in multiplayer. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
Bully: Scholarship Edition	Adventure/Beat 'Em Up	An enhanced port of the PS2 version with additional content. A GTA-style game for those in society who were too much of a pussy to stand up for themselves and now take it out on younger kids. NA, EU. Also available on the PS2 '(original)', Wii and PC (Scholarship Edition).
Burnout Paradise	Racing	Offering a whole new city, Burnout Paradise ditches its traditional roots. It feels like Burnout meets Need for Speed. Love it or hate it, the series has changed.. Online multiplayer, DLC. NA, EU. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare	FPS	A fast-paced first-person shooter based in realism. Lots of fun online. DLC. NA, EU. Also available on the PS3 and PC; the title was later heavily altered for the Wii in a console port titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex, but it doesn't hold up as well as the original.
Condemned: Criminal Origins	FPS/Horror	An action-packed horror game with a strong focus on brutal melee combat. Hard to fault, even if the story falls apart later on. NA, EU. Also available on PC.
Condemned 2: Bloodshot	FPS/Horror	Although considered inferior to its predecessor, it keeps some of the good, but loses lots of it in favor of a horrible story choice. NA, EU. Also available on the PS3.
Crackdown	TPS	A free-roaming sandbox style game with no strong mission focus. Various tasks available, usually to kill, kill, kill. DLC. NA, EU. A sequel is expected to arrive on the Xbox 360 sometime during the first quarter of 2010 for North America.
Dead Rising	Action/Adventure/Horror	A zombie kill-'em-dead, remembered for its various murder techniques. Somewhat repetitive later on. DLC. Worldwide. He's covered wars, you know. The title has also been available on the Wii in a heavily altered port, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, that reduces the amount of zombies on-screen and features Resident Evil 4-based gameplay.
Dead Space	TPS/Horror	Action-heavy survival horror. A few jumps and a fantastic atmosphere, which it often wastes. A fun third-person shooter nonetheless. Designed to have immersive UI. NFasA, EU. Also available on the PS3 and PC. A direct sequel is currently planned to be released during late 2010.
Devil May Cry 4	Action/Adventure	It's DMC, but now you play as new protagonist Nero as well as everyone's favourite smartass demon hunter Dante. A solid combat system that can be used to rack up frankly insane combos (if you're good enough), hilariously cheesy cutscenes and dialogue (as is apparently standard in DMC) and a fair bit of replayability make this one to consider. Worldwide. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
Earth Defence Force 2017	Shoot 'Em Up	A Serious Sam-style shoot-em-up. Minimal plot. Maximum action. Worldwide.
Eternal Sonata	RPG	Tradition action-JRPG, featuring Chopin as a character, along with some of his work. Similar to the Tales series. Lots to see, do, and explore. Worldwide. Also available on the PS3; however, the PS3 version contains additional content, particularly two more playable characters.
Tales of Vesperia	RPG	What are you, some kind of savant? This game is awesome. Also available on the PS3; however, the PS3 version contains additional content and is currently unavailable in NA/EU with no announcements regarding any western release.
F.E.A.R.	FPS	Fast-paced FPS with slow-motion. Few horror elements will make those less experienced in the genre jump. Online multiplayer. NA, EU. Also available on the PS3 and PC. A direct sequel has been released on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 simply titled F.E.A.R. 2. An expansion for the original title has also been available on the Xbox 360 called F.E.A.R. Files.
Fable II	RPG	Live a full life inside of a virtual Enlightenment-era world. Buy a house, gay marry, and enjoy a slightly farcical action. Be warned, this may be a rent, not a buy, seeing as it's main story is rather short. DLC. NA, EU. A third installment is currently expected to arrive during late 2010 which will also make use of the Natal project.
Fallout 3	FPS/RPG	A fantastic post-apocalyptic game in a pseudo-50's era United States featuring a fully explorable world, hours of content, and great writing. The DLC adds even more great content to an already great game. Just watch out for the ending if you don't have the Broken Steel DLC. Go for the GOTY edition as it includes all the DLC. NA, EU. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game	TPS	You're the new Ghostbuster. Follow around Spengler, Stantz, Venkman, and Zeddemore as you plow through ghosts old and new in a fantastic third person shooter with plenty of inventive gadgets, awesome atmosphere, and a great script. Also available on the PS3; however, various reports claim the PS3 variation suffers from low quality textures in comparison to the Xbox 360. Wii version is very different and some say better.
Halo 3	FPS	Fast paced sci-fi FPS. Very active online with a standalone expansion now out (Comes with all maps/DLC). Online multiplayer. DLC. A standalone installment has also been released under the title Halo 3: ODST which features much of the same gameplay as the original.
Kameo: Elements of Power	Action\Platform	A very good launch title from Rare, very good colourful graphics and good action. Transform into a variety of creatures and cobine their powers tosolve puzzles and for battle. Fun action. It's pretty short and easy but while it lasts it's very fun. Great soundtrack too. Originaly a Gamecube game, the sequel was recently canceled in place of avatars and 'experiemtnal' games.
Left 4 Dead	FPS	Fast-paced co-op zombie action. Fantastic versus mode. Also available on PC. A direct sequel has also been released for the Xbox 360 and PC.
Lost Odyssey	RPG	A traditional JRPG developed by Mistwalker about a man who has lived for 1000 years. If you can get past the very "traditional" JRPG battle system, you'll find a very engaging and emotional story, complete with interesting characters and unlockable short stories exploring the main character's past. Combine all this with top-notch English voice acting (particularly in the case of Jansen) and a fantastic soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu and you have an under-appreciated gem.
The Orange Box	HL and TF2: ShootersPortal: Puzzle	Not only does it include the original Half-Life 2, but it also contains the first two episodes, Portal and Team Fortress 2. Also available on the PS3 and PC; however, the EA handled PS3 port suffers from erratic framerate issues and longer load times aswell as random crashes on random games.
Perfect Dark Zero	FPS	Prequel to the first game for the N64. While it isn't as good as the original, it's still a fairly solid title and worthy addition to anyone's library. One of the few truly good Xbox 360 exclusives. It's too bad no one else will play it...
Project Sylpheed	Space Simulation	Ace Combat in space. if you ignore the bad cut-scenes and story this is a pretty fun game. anyone who likes simulation and dogfights would like this game.
Red Faction: Guerrilla	TPSSandbox	Open-world sandbox environment with completely destructible buildings, decent variety of weapons and enemies, lots of vehicles with good handling and fun multiplayer? What more could you want? Campaign does get repetitive and the music and story are weak. Difficulty gets easier as it goes on. DLC for more maps online and in wrecking crew mode available, story mode DLC also available. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
Saints Row 2	Sandbox	Basically Grand Theft Auto, except without the brown and seriousness. Also available on the PS3 and PC.
WET	Action/Hack and Slash/Being a Badass	A title that makes it seem Quentin Tarantino and Suda51 collaborated together to made a kickass game! Gun sound makes you want to kill yourself after some hours of playing, other than that the game is really cool, awesome music. Also available on the PS3.
Ninja Gaiden II	Hack and Slash, Platforming	Jump around, stab people. Kind of difficult, as the Ninja Gaiden series is known for.
Beautiful Katamari	Ball Rollan'	It's Katamari. If you've never played one of these, get this.
Dead or Alive 4	Fighting	Pretty good fighter. But if you have a choice of only one, get SFIV. Also, tits.
Street Fighter IV	Fighting	Also on PS3 and PC.

Alien Hominid HD	Button-mashing Action	This game quick reflexes and a basic side-scrolling formula while a player controls the alien and defeats FBI agents and their creations. Also on GBA, GC (america only) and ps2/xbox
Battlefield 1943	FPS	Pretty generic but entertaining action/WW2 title. Planes are fun as hell to fuck around in. However, conflicts can be few and far apart since the maps are huge. Also, snipers are a two-shot kill, and you have to basically zoom out and readjust after every shot.
Braid	Pretentious Puzzle Platformer	Use some very well-done time manipulation powers to save the princess.  Or maybe it's a girlfriend.  Or candy.  Or the atomic bomb.  Don't pay attention to the story, just pay attention to the myraid time-powers (and the ending is pretty good too).  Also on PC and ps3.. wii version canceled due to lack of interest
Castle Crashers	Beat 'Em Up	(XBLA title) 4-player online-able roaming beat-em-up set in medieval times. High level of customization and hidden/unlockable content make this the most fun one can have with a 360. PS3 version in development.
Cyber Troopers Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram ver 5.66	Action/Simulator	Port of the arcade classic. Fast and frantic mecha action with giant swords, huge lasers and love hearts <3. Supports online and LAN play.
Doom	FPS	A landmark FPS released in 1993. This is only doom though, so no extra levels and such.
Duke Nukem 3D	FPS	Fairly non-linear FPS with humor and sweet action. Also on Saturn, ps1, n64 and pc.. all with varying degrees of censorship (bar pc version which also has extra mission pacs and even an 'hd' update)
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2	Multi-directional arcade-style shooter	Awesome music, crazy colors, and just the right amount of challenge. Mode variations will keep you busy. Also on the Wii version as a bonus.
Geon: Emotions	Arcade	Navigate a little cube around and collect pellets before your enemy does.
Gunstar Heroes	Run n' Gun	A goddamn classic.
Mega Man 9	Action Platformer	It's Mega Man. Platforming and shooting. Quite difficult. On Wii and Ps3.
Mutant Storm Empire	Shoot 'em up	Fun as shit. Get it. (No loading screens!)
Mutant Storm Reloaded	Shoot 'em up	Just as good as the previous one.
N+	Platformer	Jump, dodge, climb and rebound from walls, and collect gold on the way to the exit. You play as a little black ninja. Also on DS and PC( the latter being free)
Pac-Man Championship Edition	Its Pac-Man	Same Pac-Man you know and love, but with different modes, shiny new visuals, an awesome techno soundtrack, and faster, tweaked gameplay. For example, now you respawn where you died instead of the center of the track. Interesting note, this game was designed by the original creator of Pac-Man and was his last game before retirement.
Rez HD	Shooter/Other	The cult psychedalic shooter from the PS2 and Dreamcast with slick updated visuals and now available for less than $80!
Shadow Complex	Platform/Adventure/Shooter	Simply awesome. Definitely one of the best, if not the best game on the XBLA. Cool powerups. One negative is that there is A LOT of backtracking. Basicly metal gear metroid
Trials HD	Physics-based puzzle/racing	Physics-based dirtbike game similar to Excite Bike. Ride over obstacles and do crazy jumps. Unlock new levels by beating the previous ones with a minimal amount of bails and in short amount of time. Some levels can be absolutely infuriating to get a gold medal in, or even finish. Very addictive.
Uno	Card	Simple Uno fun. A couple of variations. Extremely active community. You'll occasionally get some guy jerking off or some girl showing tits since the LIVE Vision Camera comes with this game. Wii version is out too.
Wolfenstein 3D	FPS	A classic FPS. Popularized first person shooters on the PC. Kill Nazis.
